trials are suspended in June
Due to a code error that would have caused some 30-day trials to expire
in just one day most of the trial downloads anf trial DVDs will be suspended
from June 1st to July 1st.
The affected trial downloads are: all the Adobe Creative® Suite 3
products (dowload and DVDs), Acrobat® 3D Version 8, Adobe Acrobat® 8 Professional,
Adobe Captivate 3, Adobe Director 11, Adobe FrameMaker 8, Adobe Photoshop®
Elements 6, Adobe Premiere® Elements 4, Adobe RoboHelp 7, Adobe RoboHelp Server
7, Adobe Technical Communication Suite, and Adobe Visual Communicator 3.
Users who launch trials of the affected products before June 1 will
not be affected. Their trials will work for the normal 30 day period.

applications, Adobe AIR
« Rich applications » is often used to refer to all new type of interface, ergonomics or uses, that we can found on the internet. These new applications common purpose lies in the will to change uses and to maintain an ever improving navigation, in terms of ease and performance.
Adobe launched a freeware, Adobe AIR “Adobe Integrated Runtime”, which now enables you to get small applications called RDA (Rich Desktop Applications) on your computer, you don’t need to use a web browser.
Just download free Adobe AIR (mac & pc), linux, then choose an application.
Adobe AIR is using widespread web technologies (especially Ajax, Flash and Flex), it should rapidly appeal to web designers and programmers, for that matter, new application are already increasing.
Rival firm related, Mozilla is also developing a web application available off line called “Prism”.

3D presentations: which solution to go for?

If possibilities are numerous, a selection is essential. Avoid plugins that would force your webusers to install applications on their computer (Shockwave 3D, Java 3D, X 3D...): asking them to download, install, restart... is loosing the most part of them, indeed. So...? Any solution...? Go for Flash plugin (set on 97% computers). Export your presentations on Flash format: if Flash only supports 2D presently, it does simulates quite good 3D (thanks to ActionScript vectorial shape management).
